On May 15th, 1992 the Kiwanis Club of Windsor was officially chartered at Lena’s restaurant in Santa Rosa, with 131 Kiwanians and guests in attendance. Dignitaries present to administer the Chartering ceremonies included Division 32 Lt. Governor Cal Carpenter and Cal-Nev-Ha District Governor John Roberto. Kiwanians from Ukiah, Willits, Healdsburg, Sonoma, Petaluma, Geyserville and the Santa Rosa clubs attended the event. A new bell, banner and highway sign was presented to our club.

The Division Committee pre-organizing the club was: Cal Carpenter, Phil Aaron, Art Weaver and Rich Graham from the Santa Rosa Club (all past Lt. Governors). Other committee members were Bruno Rodella (also a past Lt. Governor, from Healdsburg) and Warren Wiltsey (a past Oakmont Club president who became one of our charter members). Bruno Rodella was the appointed KIAR (Kiwanis International Accrediting Representative) to serve as the link between the new club, Division 32, Cal-Nev-Ha District and Kiwanis International Headquarters.

Our First Nominating Committee consisted of Herb Clark, Warren Wiltsey, Linda Bergman, Gordon Waltenspiel, and Bob Crawford.

Our First Elected Board Members were: Andy Andreasen, Roy Belfance, Bob Crawford, Rodney Field, Robert Paterson, Frank Smith and Marv Stubbs.

Our First Officers were: President – Herb Clark, President Elect – Warren Wiltsey, Vice President – Gordon Waltenspiel, Treasurer – Linda Bergmann and Secretary – Paul Kelley.

There were twenty seven members at the time of the Charter. Below are the names of charter Members of the Windsor Kiwanis Club:
